RentACoop Hatchling Liners for Little Red Barn Pack of 12 - Odor-Control Chick Brooder Pads

At first I was super excited to use these pads, they fit perfectly in the rent a coop brooder and can be used under pens when the chicks are ready for a little more adventure. They absorb well and are easy to clean up.However after a few minutes the chicks tore holes in the liner, trying to eat it. I think these liners would work great for 1 day old chicks, but ours are 13 days old and I worry they are a safety concern.

Seems like a great idea until they start tearing it up and eating it

I am using these for our puppies. It fits the entire length and most of the width of the large dog crate we are using for potty training. It is effective, easy to fold and take to the vet appointments where they have used it, it helps to keep their paws dry, great find at the vet office actually. Someone had left one behind and we used the picture search for it. We are on subscribe and save for the item now.

This is the most perfect product I’ve ever used for baby chicks. Helps keep the brooder clean for the first 2 weeks! I’ve been changing them out once a week and using puppy pads on top under the heat plate to change out daily. After 2 weeks, chicks start to scratch around and have torn holes in these, so I’d say 2 weeks maximum before they need shavings or some type of bedding on top and not just the liner!

ok this liner works great! I'm using for baby chicks in the brooder. I ran out and used puppy pads, wow did not compare! Even if you don't use rent a coop brooder, get these for your brooder.

Thus is great for small chicks. Makes keeping their broader box clean easy and quick.

These are convenient for sure, but I was not able to use them beyond one week with our newly hatched chicks as they kept shredding them while scratching around. I wouldn’t recommend them for more than a few days with hatchlings.

I bought these like someone recommended to put under pine shavings in my chick brooder. Unfortunately, my chicks were drawn to the dark color and started trying to eat it. Wish it would have worked for me.

Expensive for what they are, but I use them for the first week with chicks to prevent splay leg

I am sure this pads work in some situations, maybe very young chicks. The size and color were exactly as expected and fit perfectly in the pen. The price was good. However, my chicks tore up the liner and made a mess to clean up. I also worried about the safety of my baby chicks pecking at the liner.

Works well with brooders.

Great concept, but did not work well enough for my needs. Waste absorption is not a high as I was hoping, while my ducklings were in the brooder.

Helps keep coop clean.

These are ok I prefer a heavy paper because my chicks just scratched it into a bundle, just not what I was looking for.

Thes pads are great for keepin chicks clean and healthy

These make cleaning the brooder so fast and easy. Much easier to keep everything clean.
