Breaks and spills all the water.

I have bought their water dispenser before and never had issues, but this kit came with many issues, my guinea pigs and rabbits use them and I keep finding the mounts broken, I don’t know if it’s a bad batch or bad design the plastic easily breaks and losses all the water and does not retain any water in the
bucket kit was easy to install and good design but the materials are cheap and breaks, the Chinese kits seem to be a better value. I had to buy temporary low capacity water bottles to solve my issue for now.

Keeps breaking with only a week of use

Purchased two kits and within a week the black cup adapters started leaking and snapping off. Can’t figure out how to get ahold of RAC to see if they’ll warranty it. So far 4 out of 12 (two kits) have broke

Great Kit but Missing Metal Cups

Update: Due to my late review of this item and some other circumstances beyond the control of Amazon or RentACoop I was unable to resolve/replace this item with the correct version. I believe I received a different but very similar product kit that includes plastic cups instead of Metal ones.My suggestion is to carefully inspect your package. Very likely this is an Amazon fulfillment issue or an SKU mixup between RentACoop. The plastic cup version sells for $40 and the metal cup version $55. Check your package ASAP.---------------end of update -------------Product Reviewed: RentACoop DIY Sip Station Watering System Starter Kit; Includes Tubing, Brass Nozzles, Metal Auto-Fill Cups for $55TL;DR; Typical good quality product; several preferred watering fittings;I’ve had individual components of this kit before so I am reasonably familiar. The tubing I’m uncertain about and have not used but the two styles of watering cups and the tubing fittings I like a lot. They are all more or less tool-less after initial install and the kit includes everything you need save the 1/8” npt tap which I prefer to use to pre-thread the holes for the various adapters. This kit was supposed to come with metal autofill cups but plastic ones arrived. The other small cups are our favourite so far but both versions work fine and I’m disappointed not to be able to try out the metal ones. I’ll see if I can resolve this with the vendor and update this review.Overall 3.5 stars as I have to knock off a point for the wrong product being shipped. How I review:Reviews start with 5 stars and I subtract points.- 0 for value but I try to provide guidance-0.5 to -3 for product not matching description e.g. stainless steel is actually plated steel-0.5 to -3 for product missing badly on executionI select products carefully so low (1-3 scores) are rare but detailed comments and critiques almost always are in the review. Most of my reviews come out 4-5 range. If possible I dismantle or destroy items to examine inner workings.

The best DIY chicken waterer system out there!

I have had chickens for many years and this is easily the best nearly all-in-one system you can get for your chickens. I set this up about a month ago and used it to replace a PVC pipe system that used similar cups. This was much easier to set up with all the fittings simply pushing into the included hose and the cups easily mounting to the Wire fence of my chickens’ run. No PVC cement required! The drinking cups are higher quality than anything I have seen before, and are much more sturdy and not easily knocked out of place by the chickens. Assembly is much easier if you use a heat gun to heat the tips of the hose before you try to press them onto the fittings. I had to push so hard attaching the hose to one of the T fittings I actually broke the fitting and that is when I got out the heat gun. The only thing this kit does not include is your water reservoir and a bulkhead fitting to attach the hose to a reservoir. Luckily, I already had that set up with my old system Which is fed from a 5 gallon bucket. I have not seen anything else like this system on the market that includes almost everything and is very high-quality. Highly recommended.

    Decent Starter Kit

Truly just a starter kit with just enough pieces to install a combination of 6 waterers. The nibblers and cups are well constructed. Installation is quick after planning your system out.

The black connectors make it easy to adjust angle of the waterers via bending wire fencing, whereas a pvc pipe is typically fixed.

My only hesitation is winter time where the aluminum cups and brass nibblers will freeze faster than plastic counterparts. The tradeoff being that metal will last longer than plastic and is easier to clean.

Save your money and get the plastic ones that are half the price. I installed these in two rabbit pens and I’ve gone through all the cups because they randomly quit working and I’ve had nothing but problems with them leaking at the fittings and it completely rotted the wood of the hutch. I tried extreme exterior adhesive at the fittings to fix the leaks but it only works for so long.

Nice company but the products just don’t work that well. Every single valve leaks regardless of what we do. And cannot use the cups with rabbits. I was really excited to use this product. It’s very unfortunate.

    Easy to set up

I’ve been putting off putting this thing up for six months because I thought it was going to be difficult. I don’t know why I thought it was going to be difficult, but it just seemed like it was too much to deal with with everything else that was going on. It took me less than 15 minutes to set it up. Perfectly. No leaks. I just used some Teflon tape and it was good. The bit wouldn’t fit into any of the drills that I had so I simply wallowed it out with the size bit. I had and used a lot of Teflon tape and nothing is leaking. The rabbits are already drinking out of it. Why did I wait so long?

    This product is trash

Don't buy this thing. The connectors and tees are trash. The plastic breaks if you look at it wrong. If you have a rabbitry and looking for a water system you will spend more time repairing it. Do not buy

Lots of fittings for custom setup.

I haven't had a chance to install the waterer yet, but it seems well made and comes with plenty of fittings and hose for my needs.

    Most efficient and affordable option

For our installation we took a 65 gallon drum and hooked it up on the outside of our run with the insulated tubing connecting it to the metal cups in the run. I love how they give you options, anll hardware you will need and clear step by step installation instructions. Not to mention this is a more affordable way to personalize how your coop operates and I wanted something durable and efficient. I chose the cups because 2-3 chickens can drink out of the cups because they are rather large. Once it’s all hooked up there is no leaks, the chickens went straight for it and I look forward to having more time in my day to fit other things in my schedule 😉.
