TL;DR; Nice quality thick walled tubing;

Our watering systems are developing around 5/16” tubing with OD of 7/16” (clear vinyl tubing usually). This is ID compatible with that system.

I’m not 100% clear on the uses case for this tubing. In moderate climates the insulated thick walls of this tubing might be enough to hold of freezing or perhaps RentACoop has a low voltage heating system for these. In our winter weather pecking style or cup waterers are not practical without heat but the tubing is still very nice and tough. I doubt the chickens pecking at it would ever get anywhere.

This tube sees flexible and thick - it should stand up well to weather and allows you to extend the reach of your watering system.

We used large buckets and the tubing and other parts from RentACoop's DIY system to set up two watering stations in our poultry yard. I was very glad that I picked out this replacement tubing because one of our Leghorns is already trying to perch on the tubing that is already installed and I imagine we'll end up needing to replace it within the next year. This tubing is very easy to use and is a safe, efficient, and cost-effective way to ensure clean water access for poultry and other small animals. I recommend doing what we did: ensuring that you have back-up parts ready in case of damage. Even if you don't have naughty Leghorns, anything can happen (severe weather, accidents).

This brand makes good quality items, but this is ultimately just tubing, and $25 for 20 ft of tubing is a bit expensive.

I got this for additional length to work with the Sip station watering kit. Great quality (same as the one that came with the kit) and it allowed me to install some additional cups around the run. I love all the items from Rentacoop, the only drawback is that they're not cheap. But they're definitely higher quality items and will last longer than any others! I recommend this 100% !

I got this for my chicken coop and it works just like it should. The quality is very good, which I’d expect from this brand. It’s pricey tubing though which is why I took off 1 star.

I have been using RendACoop branded stuff for the last few months and they have been great, well made and simple to use. This tubing kit is no different. It is well made, functional, and most importantly, it works as described.

This tubing works with RentACoop's Sip Station tubing adapters with barbed connectors (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D4F7DB5K) and is especially good for small watering setups or for running waterers along a fenceline for free-ranging birds. You don't have to buy PVC pipe or drill holes in it (as with the RentACoop S.N.A.P. system, reviewed separately), and there's plenty of tubing to be forgiving if you make a mistake. RentACoop's videos are very clear on how to install everything and what you need to complete your setup.

For a few backyard chickens kept penned in a small coop/run, you can set up a gravity-fed watering bucket or other container outside of the run, leaving more real estate for your chickens to run around in inside. If you don't have a lot of thirsty chickens, you can easily top off the bucket with a hose as the water drops without running yourself ragged.

I've tried all sorts of watering setups for chickens. One thing I'll tell you: Do NOT waste your time putting in watering that the chickens can roost on top of or scratch dirt up into. I've tried those square watering containers with cup waterers inside the run, and it's a constant battle keeping the water clean. With the base and the jutting-out watering cups, this waterer takes up almost enough square footage to keep another chicken!

Got this during the spring/summer months, but definitely have plans for it this winter. Looks great, nice thickness and I plan on using it for both a quail watering system as well as a small hydroponic system.
