This net is very sizeable and works great! We were able to catch our rooster in minutes. The net is a rubbery material that feels durable. The handle is very long and telescopes to about half it's length when not in use. You can also take the net part off and fold it in half for storage.
I have to say, I was a bit taken back after I assembled this net. It's a lot larger than I expected. In my head, I pictured the net being slightly larger than an adult rooster. Boy was I wrong, I bet you could catch a tom turkey with this thing. The netting is very nice, and feels like it is rubber coated. Which will help keep the birds from getting injured. The handle extends, and feels like a high quality product. I love this Cluck Catcher, and would recommend it to any chicken owner, who has a bird that needs catching.
I love this net. It is massive and yet still lightweight. The extendable handle gives excellent reach and the squared off shape allows you to set the net against the ground to catch a running animal. It just works great on my farm.The net is rated for 30 pounds. While I haven't tested its limits, it can support a struggling 20 pound goat kid without feeling like it will give out. I most often use it to catch loose rabbits- I raise Rex, which weigh up to 11 pounds (though its usually the young ones I'm catching! Most of the mature rabbits will just come right up to me to pick them up).While I love the size and shape of this, my favorite feature is the net itself. The hole spacing is very tight, and feels like it is made of a non-slip, rubbery material. The shape is of it is also like a large basket, instead of a cone shape, which is great for animal comfort.No matter how much an animal twists around inside the net, they never get caught up in it at all. This alone makes it 100% worth the cost for me. Its also large enough to hold the animal securely without it being able to get out of the net and hurt itself by falling.So, if you have any under 30 pound animals (or baby animals like goats, sheep, pigs, etc) you may need to catch at some point, I HIGHLY recommend having this net. The net has shown no signs of wear even being kept in a barn and used to catch livestock. The material does not seem to attract dirt, as the handle is a smooth aluminum and the net is smooth, no weaving or rope.
This net is giant!! And awesome!! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to run outside and had to spend forever chasing down all our chickens. I am almost excited for them to get out now lol. I can’t believe I didn’t know something like this existed. This is great quality and just a really nice net. I’m sure my husband and boys will also find a million other uses for it as well!
This net is HUGE!It requires assembly but only attaching the net head to the post. There are instructions but I didn’t find them helpful. They make it seem straightforward but they fail to mention the ring. The metal ring needs to be loosened so you can extend the pole first. If you don’t, the head won’t attach to the pole. It took me some time to figure it out because I didn’t know exactly how to operate that ring. Of course NOW it makes sense so maybe I can save someone else the hassle of trial and error.Again this net is massive. I mean you could catch an Eagle (but don’t). The material is a smooth rubberized surface. It’s soft so there really isn’t any chance of any injuries when capturing.Overall I am very pleased with this net. Its large size means that it may not work in all areas depending where you are trying to ‘net’. The quality is excellent and it has larger capacity for a variety of birds.
We had issues getting g this assembled. It's like to pole was to long for the hole on the net. The little button couldn't be pushed into the hole. My husband cut the pole down a little and made the hole on the net part longer and we got it together. Other than that issue it is a good net. Big enough to catch our tom turkey but he's like a dog so we would never need to but it's perfect for catching one of our guineas if we need to check them or administer first aid.
This is just as described in the ad. The measurements are accurate, and the quality is great. It was very easy to assemble, is easy to store, and the handle and net are excellent quality, sturdy and strong. The folding feature is probably good for some people, but I don't think I need it...I am hanging this on the barn wall for easy access and probably won't travel or anything with it, but I can see how it would be useful in other situations. It easily contained and held a muscovey duck, a large rooster, and even a red bourbon turkey, so it will do its duty well on my hobby farm.
This critter catching net does a good job of getting ahead of the running animal and having it trap itself in the net. It's easy to handle and fairly light weight for its size.
Very strong durable quality material for pole and net, large capacity size, extends for longer reachability, works awesome for scooping up hard to catch chickens.
