Chick2Chicken 5lb 2-Port Chicken Feeder and 1-Gal Small Cage Waterer Set

Changed from our tractor supply food and watering dispenser. I’m so happy we did! This kept their water clean and significantly cut down on food waste!

These new ports with "night" closure are HORRIBLE! My poor chickens can't get any food! The hole for food is sooo small they just quit trying & go.back to the coop for food rather than eat in the run
What a waste of $50

1. These seem quite a bit smaller than I expected. They wouldn’t work well for more than 3-4 chickens.

2. The nipple waterer broke as I was installing it.

3. The feeders are so close together that they don’t install/seal well.

4. There is only 1 mounting plate for the set. 🥴 Definitely not what I was going for.

Editing to add— the food just spills out continuously. You end up with every bit of food on the ground. If you try to close the tops a little, nothing comes out and the chickens end up starving. It’s a lose-lose situation.

Overall, these are honestly terrible.

Can’t figure out how to use the food container. It just empties out

These come with no directions except for basics for putting up hanging brackets. I figured out the water dispenser. Still trying to understand how to keep feed from coming out of the feed dispenser. Considering the cost of these, a basic instruction manual should absolutely be included. Many folks have never owned chickens before! Never seen a poultry feeder or waterer. If you are going to charge this much, do better.

New Chicken Mama Here!! This was perfect purchase to get started. Loved that I can hang it so the chickens have more space to roam around in there coop. Definitely will be purchasing a bigger one when I have more chickens.

The waterer works great! The cups are sturdy and the spring is tight enough that there's never too much water in them. The shape deters roosting perfectly too. When introducing the waterer to my girls, I used the nipple fittings first since it takes them a hair longer to figure out.
The capacity of the feeder is perfect for 13, however a slight lip is needed at the ports to limit spillage. Also, I can't keep the sliders open in the ports or the feed will pour out til it's empty. Not sure yet if the flow rate is due to the crumbles texture or solely because there's nothing to stop it.

Feeders do not fit well within container. Feed falls though and is wasted even with divider opened only slightly. Waterer seems to work okay, no leaks

The feeder works as it should once you manage to get it assembled, but the cups in the waterer still get dirty and you have to pick the waterer up and turn the whole thing upside down to dump the water out which defeats the purpose. My chickens prefer their one gallon plastic bucket. And that one gallon plastic bucket is actually easier to clean.

Love the waterer, perfect size for what I needed. I like the choice of nipples/cups. Keeps the water clean.The feeder is not as great. It has a small hole for the food to be eaten. It's not an ideal design.

As usual Rent a Coop stuff is great.. love these feeders for my solo rooster who has his own bachelor pad near my two flocks. He can’t be with them because he is too rough with the ladies, but I hand raised him and he’s a year old so I can’t bring myself to cull and he would just do the same in someone else’s flock. So he needed a feeder and waterer and these are working fantastic. Easy to fill, easy to clean, light weight but still holds a ton of both food and water, keeps my rooster drinking clean water and plenty fed.

The water feeder works great but the food feeder sucks!! The 2 red ports to not fit in together very well. Not enough room, they should have designed it better

This is the second set I've bought, my first set is bigger and has been perfect for my flock, but when I need to quarantine or separate a couple birds, this smaller set is perfect! It's easy to fill, easy to clean and stays cleaner than other types of waterer/feeder I have tried. Well worth the money!

The waterer is nice and works well. The feeder is total trash, birds have a hard time getting to the food and it is not waterproof. You have to keep it under cover or water gets in and molds the feed.

I purchased these for a brooder for older chicks that aren’t quite ready to join the flock. These have a nice sturdy peaked lid, so chickens can’t roost on top of them. The feeder was extremely difficult to assemble; the three ports don’t smoothly fit together on the inside & you have to force them. Feed gets stuck inside on top of the ports & doesn’t fall. The ports are tiny, so one piece of shavings will clog up a port. The little doors to close the ports get jammed with feed, & also make access to the feed very awkward for chicks. I had to break off and remove the little black slider doors.
The waterer flooded the brooder more than once. The cups hang below the level of the water container, so if you fill the container with water & set it down on the floor, the water cups are pushed up & the container will empty. If a chick stands on one of the cups, the container will empty. If you want to place this on the floor of the brooder, you can’t, the cups will be pushed up & the container will empty. It can only be hung. I ordered the nipple waterers to replace the cups and so far, so good. I have no idea why this brand is so pricey.

Great product and great customer service.

I instantly boxed these up and returned them within an hour of getting my shipment in the mail. The food container barely fits the two spouts, and they’re literally pushed right up next to each other. I was really looking forward to having larger feed bins and water bins because I currently have the ones from the same brand that are about half of the size.
I should’ve looked at the reviews because other peoples reviews also state. Some of the reviews even show how you can’t fit both spouts in at all.
