RAC Paws by RentACoop 64oz(2L) Small Animal Drinker with No-Drip Brass Nipple
A 64oz waterer praised for its large capacity and no-drip nipple design. Customers said it's easy to install and refill from the top. Animals adapt quickly to the nipple. Some concerns: lid doesn't stay secure, occasional leaking after months of use, and one report of mold buildup. Overall valued for reducing maintenance and spills.
I didn't care for the scuff marks around the noise out of the box took a star for that.
I love rentacoop products! I have been buying from them for years. My complaint is the top. It won't stay on and from only one day of use from installation, the plastic looks worn on the hinges. I have a bunny stacker cage and it is important for the tops to work and be secure so no poop or urine gets into the waters below.
I honestly at first thought these bottles were great, no leakage, no anything. At first I ordered their xlarge bottle for my guinea pigs, I have two of them so I thought this would be a better idea. The first bottle I recieved, the entire metal on the tip end where they drink was rusted and old looking. I asked for a replacement and recieved one. Afterwards, I thought all was well. I clean the water out 2 times daily and clean the tip as well. When I was cleaning, I noticed this moldy black and yellowish drainage come out from the drinking part. I just took my guinea pigs to the vet and he stated this is likely the cause and the metal was making them very ill. I am so extremely dissapointed. I thought I was making the right choice getting these bottles but I wasnt and will now be getting a better one that does not have this issue.
I prefer the old version. The plastic was just enough see through to see the water level. The new version is different material, seems more durable but I always have to open it to see how much water is left. Not a big deal cuz I live the size and my rabbits are used to drinking from those nozzles
The top is difficult to keep in place if the spring is tightly strung to hold it in place. This causes the body of the container to warp and not allow the top to fit tightly. Problematical, but not too difficult to deal with.
I love this and it works great and holds alot of water so my bunny’s don’t run out of water
Okay
Our rabbit loves it!
It started leaking after a few months of use!
We have bought one for all of our rabbits now, they are easy to install, and easy to fill without needing to open the cage. I was not sure if our rabbits would know how to use them at first since the spout is different than most bottles. But they took right to it.
We have three of their water bottles and love them all. They're a super strong, commercial style product, produced by a small family ran business.
We've experienced zero issues with any of them, finding them to be very low maintenance and highly dependable.
I would absolutely recommend these watering stations and best of all, they're made in America which really means a lot, especially these days.
Easy to hang and refill and I love how big it is so our bunny never gets low on water. I with the lid stayed on a bit better, it wants to pop off when we try to flip the opening on top but overall love it and highly recommend this drinker!
I also like that the nipple can be used from below like in the photo or the elbow can be removed to have it stick straight out. So far we have not had any issues with it leaking.
It took our girls a while to get the hang of it. It’s a great size & easy to fill. The only issue was the cover didn’t stay on very well.
This is a game changer! No wood-chips getting in waterer , no washing water tray everyday, multiple times a day. Easier and WAY faster to refill! If ur getting into raising chicks save ur self the step and just get this waterer!
Got a few of these for my bunnies and chickens. The nozzle is too firm for the chickens to use it. Nozzle leaks/drips, not from where it screws in, but from the nipple itself. Slow enough that it is usable, but still...a mess.
Easy to fill. I appreciate not having to take it down and put it back up every day to refill. I use it for our rabbits and they immediately took well to it. Doesn’t seems to leak as much as other hanging waterers.
I use these for my pet rats. They are easy to fill from the top and check the level, while also being easy to remove for cleaning. If your pet is used to the regular pet water bottles you will want to make sure they get the hang of using this before removing the old bottle as it does work a little differently. I find these leak a lot less then the normal water bottles as well, which reduces the extra bedding changings due to leaks. These also give me peace of mind when I am away as it holds a lot of water so I know they won't run out.
I bought these after much money spent on all different types of bottles for my pets trying to find ones that don’t leak. I did some research and tho I’ve found nothing that is 100% leak proof, based on reviews and comments from multiple sites I believed this was my best option. I’m very pleased with the one that doesn’t leak and am exchanging the one that does for another in hopes that it was just a broken one. I will post another review once the replacement comes to see if it’s leaking or not. It’s very frustrating to have to try to keep the bedding dry just because I can’t find a proper water bottle that doesn’t drip. Hopefully it all works out because I’m really excited about the one that doesn’t leak!
I had Lixit half gallon water bottles for my rabbits. They hold a lot of water, but they’re a pain to clean and they eventually get brittle. I initially bought the Lixit round water bottles, but they only hold 32 oz and you must unscrew the cap with the tube to refill. The other water bottles that have easy refill lids only hold 32 oz.
This water bottle is easy to install, easy to clean, and easy to refill. It comes with a spring clip that makes it easy to install and adjust, unlike the single hard wire clips that come with other brands. The entire lid is removable for cleaning and there are no hard to reach corners. Refill is easy-open the refill lid, fill with water, and close the lid.
It’s a bit pricier than other brands, but it makes it easier for me to provide a lot of clean water to my rabbits.
Ok so I have only had these for a day but I HAD to come and write a review to say how amazed I am by this water bottle.
First of I love how it is large capacity, I have 3 guinea pigs and the dinky $20 “no drip” water bottle I bought for them before wasn’t cutting it. Not only did my previous bottle not hold much water but it also flooded my guinea pigs cage constantly, it got so bad that I resorted to putting deep dish brownie pans under the water bottle to catch the monsoon that would occur every time I refilled the water bottle. This also meant that my guinea pigs ran out of clean water fast and it worried me because I work long shifts and always got scared that they would be out of water while I was gone.
So anyways I installed this bottle a few hours ago and I have yet to see a single wasted drop of water, and my guinea pigs took to the bottle immediately. Did I mention that you fill it up on the top of the bottle instead of unscrewing the bottle every single time. Total game changer
I use this for 4 hens and 1 rooster. They will go through most of it on a hot day, but it seems to be enough if I refill it each morning. They figured it out within a few hours on the first day I put it there. They prefer to drink from open containers if there are any, but they use this if they have to.
It stays clean from poop and I connected it so the tank is outside the run, which is convenient. (Did I mention the rooster?). I had a small problem with algae growth in the tank, but I just sterilize it once a week or so and it’s hardly noticeable. I’m on well water - those on city water probably would have less problems with this. There’s no noticeable wet spot under the spout but I’d be hesitant to put this inside the coop cause I’m sure there’s some dampness.
I haven’t used it during winter yet. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to rig up a heater or if I’ll have to go back to a bowl.
Overall it’s been a good purchase for me.
