    LEAK FREE AT LAST!!!!!

We have rats, so if course we've been buying water bottles for them and I swear no matter how much we spent on them, no matter how hard we looked THEY ALL LEAK!!!! But not anymore, these bottles have saved the day!! Now I don't have to clean up puddles around their cages anymore and they're water lasts the way it should! If you are putting this on a cage with a small grid like wire you can still use these, you just have to attach the nozzle through the grate and make sure the gasket is up against the bottle not the nozzle end. It took them a little while to figure out they have to move the bar to get water but once I showed them a couple times they seemed to get it just fine. Fits great on the cages and is actively saving my sanity! I highly recommend these bottles!!!

Great upgrade to the pin type water bottle

I purchased similar bottles with the pin style and found them to be much more effective than the ball type. Our guinea constantly pulls on the nozzle and finally caused leakage with the old one. I replaced with this brand, and it is much better developed. The pin does not move freely in the tube. The pin has a spring that keeps it in place and the side-to-side movement of the pin releases the water. they had special instructions just for guinea pigs that suggested bypassing the L-shaped tube and screw the pin device directly into the tank (shown in photo). That couldn't be done with the free-floating pin. She drinks a ton of water, and it takes away all of the looking up and neck bending. I highly recommend this product. Bonus for us; no more filling twice a day.

These (and the 2L version) are my go-to

You will have run throughs if you do not take measures to prevent furnishings from getting pushed into the valve. That’s how these work, it’s a small limitation, and a vast improvement over the ball valve models that lead no matter what you do. The lid removes for easier cleaning, but don’t fill the water to the tippy top or that will leak until the water level drops below that point. So make it easy on yourself and don’t fill beyond the lower level of the collar. Some reviews are turning these points into negatives, but use your common sense. These are also the features that make these the best style of snag animal waterers.

    So glad I bought this!!!

Previously, over the last year, we have bought 4 different ‘no leak’ water bottles for our Californian bunny (which is a larger breed so he drinks a lot) and they have either leaked horrifically or the roller balls in the nozzle would constantly recess making it so the bunny couldn’t actually get his water out at all. The bunny was so happy with this new WORKING water bottle he stood there drinking for ten minutes, then came to the cage door for my attention so I would give him chin scratches and then he went back to the water bottle for another five minutes.
I do wish the bottle was still 64 oz like his old one, but at least filling this one is easier and cleaning it is MUCH easier than any previous bottle. This was so worth the money to finally solve the issue of my poor guy constantly having to get a human’s attention because his water wasn’t working. It seems sturdy. As previously mentioned, the filling and cleaning are both a total breeze, and I only had to show him how to use it once and he was off and guzzling his water on his own. I will see over the coming months, whether it holds up because he is a hefty bunny and he is hard on his things. Aside from it being a little smaller than I’d like, It seems like maybe finding a way to increase the pin and nozzle size for larger animals would be a benefit, but he can drink slowly and he didn’t seem to get too upset about it. Overall, this is worth a try for any small pet. Especially for the ones who are going to be more sensitive to moisture exposure—this is perfect and I wish I’d found it ages ago.

LEAKS like crazy// UPDATE: new bottle is awesome!

Well this product clearly drips, and I think even more than my $2 water bottle from the pet store. I had this filled up all the way and you can see where the water line is now. That’s roughly 12 hours worth of dripping over night. The only reason I’m giving this two stars is because the concept is great and I like how you can fill it while still attached to the cage. Take away that and this is a zero star product if you want something that doesn’t drip.

    **UPDATE**
Their customer service had reached out to me and got me a new bottle. I have no idea what was different with this one but it was true to the description. No leaks at all. I love it. Now I would have been even more ecstatic if the first bottle I purchased would have been the same. So maybe you’ll get an amazing one or one that pours water... is it worth the risk? I say yes, because the ease of this and getting one that really doesn’t even leak is amazing.
Before I soaked my cage again I left this one at the sink overnight with a line. You can see how essentially nothing was dripped out. They do have great customer service and we’re on top of it.

They do leak, its very common anymore

Ive used these for years, at first yeard ago they were leak proof, but as the years passed they became more common with leaks. I acutally miss the red flip top an im not a fan of the pyramid lid. I'll probabky be forced to buy more water bottles for my guineas from a different company. Pretty annoying.considering these used to be the caddilac of water bottles for our piggies.

    No Leaks!!!

Using this for my ratties, I've only ever seen the ball bottles and those always, ALWAYS end up leaking no matter what is advertised. This one is a pin style design and it hasn't leaked a drop since purchase. Admittedly, the purchase was recent, but any ball bottles I've gotten have leaked by now so this is incredible. Rats seem to have gotten the hang of it quickly. The lid comes off entirely for ease of cleaning, which is excellent. Can also fill from the top without removing the lid, very convenient. Good size for my two boys, will likely last a while with them if I fill it up. I'll be washing at least once a week for sanitary reasons, but I'm sure this would last two rats a weekend away at least. Might not last forever, but I think this'll hold up long enough to be worth the price if installed and used correctly for the animal you have (i.e. my rats will not be allowed near the main body of the bottle because I'm positive they'd chew a hole in minutes). Very satisfied with my purchase, might be the only style of bottle I get from here on!

Second time around was not so great.

We had bought these for our guinea pigs and the first ones worked great...until they didn't. They lasted a pretty long time, but I guess got worn out? They started leaking. We liked the product, so we decided to get new ones. Both of them leaked from day one and we had to change the bedding in the cage more often costing more money on bedding in the long run. On one of them, the cover sticks, so trying to get it open is a challenge, lol. I also gave one star for the ease of removal. We like to wash the container out roughly every other day or two and if there's still water in it, we can't. We found that turning the nozzle they drink from to pull the whole thing off the cage was what started causing the first ones to leak, it never leaked before we started doing that. We had a huge brood of piggies and didn't have to worry about water being in it when we needed to clean the inside, they drink a lot, lol. Now we only have 3 piggies and the water isn't being consumed as quickly, which means it doesn't get empty as fast anymore. I really liked these at first, but found my wallet didn't like them after a while.

THE BEST FOR hamsters & guinea pigs

I love using this nozzle it was the absolute best because I didn’t have to fully take it off in order to refill it. I just refilled it at the top.
It has two different ways that you could put it on, which is really good for the versatility of it depending on what cage you are using for hamster, rats, or guinea pigs (whatever the case may be).
The flow is nice. I never had a problem with my guinea pigs trying to get water out as long as you clean it every now and again just in case their food or medicine gets stuck at the bottom (very rare), but I never had a problem with that.

    They're ok

I want to like this product more but I don't. I HAVE to have a drip cup under these or else my critters' cages are a mess! They will also just drain these straight into their drip cup as well and require me to refill way more often then I should. Cool design but I think the straight up and down spout really trips up my pets.

    Leaks

I like that this bottle is easy to fill from the top but it LEAKS constantly. I have tried both attachments that were sent with it and both leal, causing my animals cage to always be wet. It's very frustrating. I had high hopes with this product because we have ordered it before and had no issues.

    Almost perfect

These are great water bottles and I have bought them for my rabbitry for years. My only issue is that customer service used to be wayyyyy better. If you couldn't fix a nozzle they'd replace it no questions asked. Now you have to buy the replacements and these bottles are not cheap to begin with. They're relatively chew proof, easy to clean, and rarely leak. My rabbits drink plenty and never seem to have complaints re: the nozzle.

    Beware of non-Rentacoop vendors

We brought home a young bunny and needed a reliable water bottle, which brought us to this one based on the reviews. First my review of the product: true to its advertising, it doesn’t leak! It is also very easy to refill from the top. However, the fixed wire bottle attachment didn’t work for us— no way could we get it on our new Midwest cage. So we went with the spring attachment which is a little harder to use if your hands are big. What puzzles us, and maybe it’s the way our bunny drinks, but he twists his head around the nipple to push it such that a torrent of water runs down his front and puddles on the floor. Is this typical— we don’t know. Which brings me to the second part of my review— customer service. We contacted Rentacoop about our question/issue and heard back from them the next day which was great. After verifying that we purchased it on Amazon, but NOT directly from Rentacoop (honestly, we didn’t realize it), they wrote that they could not warranty the product in case we bought it used and it was discounted. Okay, that’s nice (we bought what we thought was new and the price didn’t look discounted to us), but that’s not what we were asking. They did answer part of our question though, but I was taken aback by their abrupt “not under warranty..” that I didn’t ask any more questions. So watch out that you buy directly from the company or it won’t be under warranty! Now bunny still has a wet front and puddles and I am looking into alternative bottles.
