I've now purchased this item twice. The 1st purchase on 4-18-18 was when the hemp was packaged by weight, & I got the 33lb bag for $59.99. I purchased another 33lb pkg on 5-6-18, but was shipped 4 bags of the "8lb" hemp. Upon further inspection, the UPS shipping label stated the weight as 20lbs & that's what the total weight actually was on my scale. After contacting the seller & explaining, they were very prompt addressing & rectifying the situation; I was sent another 3 bags of the "8lb" hemp. I'm now ready to order again & see the packaging has changed from weight to volume. The biggest available bag is listed at 300L for the same $59.99, but the details state shipping weight as 30lbs. Although I'm still satisfied with the performance of the hemp & their customer service, 3 pounds is quite a bit of product loss for the same $59.99, especially with bulk distributors offering it at a much lower cost.I am pleased with the odor control & longevity as bedding for my skinny pigs (basically hairless guinea pigs). The texture is great, too, as I was afraid it might be too rough for their skin & feet. The aroma is much less offensive than several other bedding types I've used in the past, particularly pine, & NO dust. I also used it in my chick brooder. It worked well but didn't last very long, although I did have more chicks than usual this year. After 2+ months I've only had to do one complete change of 3 cages for my skinnies with several "kitchen container" changes (I fill their kitchen container about 2" & the pan is 5'"x 8" roughly); the sows' cages are 28" x 56", & boar's is approx 24" x 36".TOP Mfg: Thank you for offering this bedding alternative, but please consider price adjustment & bulk options as the market dictates?
