Customers praised this shut-off valve for easy setup with no glue required, making it "easy to disassemble" for flexible configurations. The included hole saw is a valued bonus. While it "doesn't leak" and reduces daily watering stress, some noted the valve feels "a little flimsier than expected" and sits close to containers.
This is a really nice valve with great connectors and an easy to move valve. It is a little lighter duty than ones I have purchased before so maybe not the best for our water tanks where the horses and cows can kick or hit it. They provide a hole saw that is pretty exceptional.. almost like buy the hole saw get the valve for free.
I would have given it a five if it had just been a tad bit heavier plastic but all in all this is a nice valve at a great price.
Now I don’t have to water my chickens everyday and this lessens stress on me! Doesn’t leak!
The valve works as expected. It sits a little too close to the water vessel and actually impacts it when you turn it, which is kind of weird. Might be a problem if the vessel isn't a bendy material. It's also a little flimsier than expected, and you can feel everything flex when you turn the handle. I'd have preferred if the outer walls were 25% thicker or so.
The best thing about this shut-off valve is the ease of setup and use! I like that I didn't need to use glue, and I can change the setup for my chickens' water system if I want. The included hole saw is a bonus to make it even easier to set up.
I am trying these Rent A Coop S.N.A.P. system for my chickens watering system because I plan on moving it in the future. There is no glue involved so I can assemble and disassemble with ease. Recommend if you don't want a glue type piping system.
Needed to add a shut off value to my setup. Tried doing what I did with my aquarium to my water system for my chickens. Didn't quite work out how I wanted it to. Looked around for other solutions and came across this cut off valve. The concept is one I haven't seen before. I opted to give it a try. So far it is working great. Easy to install. Easy to hook up. Easy to operate.
With this valve and some other components from this company, as well as a length of 1/2" PVC pipe, which I already have. I was able to construct a custom watering system for my chickens. They drink out of anything, including the ducks' pools, mud puddles, and random collections of water, but I wanted to create an easy to maintain, automatic filling source of clean water and now I have. I was able to place the water reservoir near my hose then run the watering lines to where the chickens congregate eat. Online instructions are great and assembly is straightforward and quick. The only problem I encountered was easily remedied. Because I got all the component separately, I found I was unable to buy the bucket they use in their starter kit, so I had to find another one and figure out how to mount it to the wall. Still, I highly recommend this product and this system.
Sturdy, durable and dependable shut off valve for my chicken watering system. This is great quality and an easy install. No glue is required.
