RentACoop 32oz(1L) Drinker Plus 2 Versatile Nipples

So disappointed in the changes!! I love these waterers and have recommended them to many people. Just ordered this new one. I wish they would go back to the old hanging system, which was much easier and much more flexible in terms of places and ways you could mount it. Additionally, the new hanger has slide in clips, and when you fill the waterer even 3/4 full it becomes too heavy and the clips slide out. I am trying to glue them in to see if that will help. I also preferred the old lid—the new one is so awkward to open and close. I’m so bummed I gave my old one away! Please at least offer the old product in addition to this one! I also prefer the more transparent version so you can tell when the waterer is low.*glue improved it, but after about two weeks of use I heard a crash and the waterer had fallen off the cage. It’s now reinforced with a small bungee cord.

What a wonderful product it worked for my baby chicks. The first day I brought them home. They loved it and it helps to really cut down on the mess that a normal water dish does for baby chicks. It does have a higher cost but what you save in not having to clean out and replace wet bedding constantly really makes it a great deal.

This waterer arrived quickly and is easy to fill, and the quality feels good. However, it did not match the photos or instructions. The listing shows the red part without a cup, but mine came with one attached, and it was also missing the plug for the top or bottom. It does fit snugly on my rabbit enclosure (where I keep my quail), but not when the red cup is attached. I cannot return it because I need it, but I will edit this review to update how my quail use it.

My only complaint is I wish the bottles were more see through so we could see the water level line without having to walk up close to check it. And they came with the floaters to see the water levels. (the little ducks or turtles that float inside the water bottles) - and if they sold a bag of replacements of them as well since we lost a bunch down the sink drain.

Love the top fill options. Makes it easier for us to just fill a pitcher with spring water and refill their bottles that way. Also like that the bottles are on the outside of the cage so they don't climb, chew and make them fall over like some other ones we had in the past.
We went through several different types and brands and this is by far the best.

They have different mouthpieces also that you can buy separately depending on what works better for your pet or which type of animal you have. (remember just because it says it's for chickens for example doesn't mean that it won't work great for your rabbits too)
We got a bunch of the x shape mouth pieces. The cross tip kind for our guinea pigs and they work great. We got the bowls for the babies until they were strong enough to use the cross tip kind (since there's a small bead up in there - like a ball point pen) that they have to push on with their teeth or tongues and the babies aren't strong enough at birth. The bowls work for a little bit for that, but then we switch right back to the cross tips because the bowls get very dirty and there's no way to clean them out without having to dump the entire bottle out. And with spring water we don't like to waste any of it.

& Not all of my bottles came with the spring loaded holders, which sucks because I really really like them. They attach to many different types of cages, C+C, regular rectangles, chicken wire, outdoor huts, and the pens like shown in pics.

*Helpful tip - if your bottles are leaking or your cage is wet from your piggy 'playing' with the water bottles, try putting the bottles at a higher height. Most rodents, guinea pigs especially, should be lifting their head/chins up to reach the water spicket. If it's level with them and they are tilting their heads on an angle to get it, it makes it easier for them to lay there and chew and play with. The water should be running down their throats, not pouring out the sides of their cheeks.

!!!(you might find an off brand similar bottle with an orange cap instead of a red one... Not much difference at all, except the lid wears out faster so it doesn't click down super snug after a couple uses. It's slightly thinner cheaper plastic I think that's why. Cheapest option for us was to buy these ones in groups of 2)!!!

I've been considering getting poultry nipples for my flock of chickens ans ducks for a few years but wasn't sure how they'd work. I currently have a brooder of 10 ducklings and decided they were the perfect test group. I got this and the larger chick waterer with the little cup to see which style worked better. This one, or specifically the nipples, is hands down a 10, A+, 5 stars! The ducklings went insane for it instantly. I was super happy that it came with two nipples because I was able to use the second nipple on the larger (cup) waterer. The ducklings love both styles of nipples but may actually like the black and yellow "small animal" nipple a little better. Their brooder isn't as wet as it was before. Ducklings do tend to sleep under the waterer though because they're lazy and love just lifting their heads and pecking at the nipple. (The cups on the other hand, an absolute disaster just as I expected.)I'm planning to buy more nipples to for my adult birds now.

Absolutely LOVE this product. Genius design, I was so sick of cleaning bedding chick water 3x or more a day, and this has SAVED my sanity. I am OBSESSED! Thank you for such an amazing product.

With the new tent houses there is no way to hang this device. It should come with a stand. The chickens have to be below it to drink.I also love the bowl with the one nipple but the nipple that leaks the most doesn’t have a bowl. Keeps shaving wet.

I thought this would be an answer to keeping the brooder water cleaner but it has drawbacks. I have 6 5 week old chicks and the transition took about a day. They were suspicious of it until one brave girl finally pecked at it but even then it has to be hit in a rather precise way. I chose to use the cupped tap to keep the broader box as dry as possible, it works but not as smoothly as expected. Do check it a couple times a day, I was surprised how fast 6 chicks can use up 1 liter of water and I found it dry, it's a smaller waterer than the picture looks.

Perfect size for what I’m using it for - to use in sick bay/temporary coop. Saves space since it can hang from the hardware cloth

I had high hopes for this. BUT the nipple waterer attachment with the small red catch bowl is why I got this. For one its small and $18. But the chance for the baby chicks to have cleaner water and less mess i thought it would be worth it. Problem....thr attachment is suppose to screw in. But it would just fall right off. I emailed the company they wanted a photo of thr problem after I described it in full detail. Point is its defective its not usable. To take a Pic of a piece that won't stay on or screw in? All I wanted was a replacement sent. Don't waste your money.

So we use this for Holland lop.. It's perfect! It doesn't spill, doesn't leak (which is a problem for most water bottles) and an added bonus rabbits can't pee in it. Definitely recommend

Good so far! - especially after the company sent me two of the originally missing nuts! They sent two and glad to set up water system as extra for when chickies they are on their own!!

This is a very versatile drinker. It comes with multiple ways of giving the birds water, and is very easy to set up. I tried out the cup, and the needle style drinker. All of them work great, and keep the water cleaner than your traditional waterer. It has lasted through three sets of chicks. I will definitely use it again.

Skip the regular chick watered and start with this. No bedding, food, or chick poop to constantly be cleaning of. This made our baby chick experience 100 times better!!!

Water is always clean compared to other waterers. The best drinker I have used in my 40 years with chickens!! A+

After using a conventional waterer for our chickens I was so fed up with the constant mess in the water and in their pen because they’d tip the waterers over. This has been a life saver because the water stays clean and they aren’t able to make a mess with it! We will actually be purchasing more of these!
