Expensive but worth the money!!!!! I 10/10 recommend this brand and these two products to anyone who has chickens. They are 5 gallon so they hold enough food and water for weeks. We have 5 ladies and fill up the food every 4 weeks. The water container we leave halfway full and add on due to heat conditions.. but i do got to say it keeps the water clean, no leaks, and cool (which is a HUGE plus for a chicken owner in the south due to heat and SAND) The appearance of them makes our coop look nice and gives the chickens some space. They come packaged well with everything you need and instructions that are easily able to follow. They are super sturdy (like you can’t knock the down easily at all!!) I could go on and on why you should purchase these two products from rentacoop!!

Worth the cost. I spent a lot of money on lesser quality and compacity feeders and waterers. These are well worth the money. In the summer you can open the waterer and throw frozen water bottles or ice into them to keep the water cooler. I am about to purchase a second set for my other coop after a successful test run with these.

These were so easy to set up and install with all the work done for you. I would say they are more worth it than getting just the cups and drilling the holes yourself. That is very convenient and the roost cone/storage spot is nice that you don't get when you make your own because my chickens hop on top of everything. I just give it 4 stars because it does seem overpriced.

The description and the packaging say it comes fully assembled but what I got was buckets of parts for me to assemble. The buckets don't have the food/water stickers on them like pictured in the link. It looks like I revived the DIY kit.

These are excellent and cleverly designed Waterers and Port feeders! I have owned just about every other type of system for chickens and this is the only one that Does Not allow food to be beaked out onto the ground. I’ve used both crumble and cracked grains in this port feeder- both work very well. I definitely recommend that it be placed in a shady location in order to avoid the food from going rancid from the heat. It’s easy to refill because you just remove the lid by simply lifting it where it’s indicated on the lid itself. Finally, I suggest buying the port caps in order to plug the ports at night so that rodents cannot get to the feed or you can simply use the rent a coop hanging strap, to hang the feeder 4-5 feet off the ground at night. As for the waterer- the watering cups are very easy to clean and if you put just a sprinkle of First Saturday Lime on the top of the water surface inside the bucket- the water will never grow algae or get a biofilm slime. The cups can easily be cleaned out with a large medical or feeder syringe- by just sucking out the dirt that settles at the bottom of the cups. Alternatively, you could use the hose to just force a jet of water into the cup and it will expel any dirt right out. I wipe the water cups out once a week with a dry paper towel and it does a great job of holding all of the water weight if you hang it as shown in the picture, with the rent a coop straps. There’s also a cap on top of the water bucket lid for easy refill. I waited several months in order to review this product and I honestly cannot find anything wrong with either the waterer or the feeder. I likely will not use the waterer past fall because all water cups freeze but I will definitely get all three seasons use out of this clever self filling system. If you do purchase the port feeder caps to close off the ports- they remove with a simple pinch twist and pull- but there’s no way a raccoon could do this because they do not have the thumbs and there’s no way mouse could chew through it because the entire cap is designed to prevent that. Overall this was a great bang for the buck and I highly recommend both!

They work great, making feeding and watering so much easier. The water stays clean, the feed isn't scattered as much, and both are easy to keep clean. I did remove the cup liners in the waterer because it made cleaning easier, as I found the liners were hard for me to remove. I do not use the stands that were provided. I sit them on some strong iron stands my husband made for me

Love that they are off the ground. Hoping they don’t freeze easily come wintertime!

These are Awesome. I love them. No poop in the food or water. No more food wasted. I keep checking them and I'm pretty sure it's been 2 weeks or more with 5 chickens

Our chickens learned how to use these quickly. I do like the feeder. I like that you can close the feeding holes to keep rodents out. The waterer not so fond of. I just went and refreshed it and noticed algae in the bottom. Disappointing for the fact that it’s stated how it’s so easy just refill through the hole as needed but had I not taken the lid off I would have never noticed. This was less then a week of the water being in there and temps were in the 70s.

Basically does what it claims. Birds eventually figure it out. Much cheaper to make it yourself, but if you don't want to hunt and gather the parts. and buy a hole saw bit. The kit will reduce the time you invest in it .20 minutes and your done.

We are not using the feeder at the moment it did cut down on moochers but 2 holes for 4 chickens didn't seem to work. I would think I will need 2 of them for 4 chickens pretty expensive if that's the case but it did cut down on what the squirrels and birds were getting and seemed to keep food fresher. I'm considering getting another our feed did seem to stay fresher as well and I plan on going on vacation and don't want to have to worry about food running out.

Took my chickens a while to get used to the feeder, but I guess they eventually figured it out when they got hungry :-)
