We bought this fence, intending to use it over the winter months. Unfortunately, we live in an area of the country where we got dumped with large amounts of snow starting in November so we never managed to actually get this up before we had 20 inches on the ground. Fast-forward to June, and my husband and I were trying to figure out a solution to keep our free ranging chickens away from our very fruit laden blueberry bushes before they ripen. We remembered that we had the fence but hadn’t taken it out of the box. We took it out of the box and despite being exposed to the elements over the winter, with some amount of minimal shelter, all the content was perfectly intact. We set the fence up around our blueberry bushes, and it fits it to an absolute T. Well, we understand there may be a chicken that manages to fly over the fence. We also were able to enclose all of our blueberries with a good foot or three away from the fence as not to even try to tempt the chickens. We have both young chickens and older chickens so we’re optimistic that this fence will be a great solution. Probably after the blueberries have all been picked. Will probably use it to protect our blackberry bushes that are wild, as well as our apple trees that will have fruit ripening come September. It was astonishingly easy to set up - even in our rocky soil. I anticipate it’ll be a great value for our money.

This wasn't worth the money at all. Super disappointed. We splurged and got this, we thought it would be a nice set up but it is a pain to move, our chickens get out of it no matter how tight we get it (they get over and under) and it doesn't just push into the soil. We have to use a hammer when moving it because of the clay in our soil, as a result all the stakes are bent and it is unusable. We've only had it around 3 months.

They reached out to me and made the situation right on their own volition and unlike other merchants, they did NOT ask me to change my review. That was super refreshing and my confidence in this company has been restored. I have been a long time fan of Rent A Coop and will continue to be a long time customer.Original review:I really wanted to like this but found it to be extremely clunky. The poles are very hard to get out of the ground once they are in, which is fine if you are looking for a fast long term fence but I wanted to move it every few days so the chickens don’t trash my yard. It is also not predator safe from the skies so I tried adding a garden net to the top. It just felt clunky. On day two I walked out to find that some random rodent had chewed up one entire fence panel overnight?! And then a couple days later a storm came and one pole was broken at the base where it meets the metal. For the price I hoped it would last longer than a few days. It inspired me to build an actual tractor and I ditched the rent a coop fence. I was not super happy to have wasted the money and I’m a big rent a coop fan. I use their bedding, have two treadle feeders, two of their 5 gallon water buckets, a 2 gallon water and a 2 gallon feeder.

Ok Im super impressed so far. I bought a chicken fence from another company and It was at least this expensive and shorter. The material was thinner than this one too and the holes were too big, and my chickens kept slipping through. So i'm super satisfied with this. The stakes were really sturdy and its working to keep my chickens off my back patio, also out of my vegetables and potted plants.Thank God the girls are happy and my garden plants appear to be safe lol.

So easy to set up. Bigger than expected. Using as a temporary run for my chickens until the permanent one is set up. Will still use this to give the girls more freedom but won’t have to chase them all over my yard to gather them.

I live in a condo that has VERY strict rules about off leash dogs. And also conveniently has no dog park. Since the dog park closest to my home has shut down, I’ve been looking for alternatives for my pup. I felt so bad seeing him locked up most of the day, and on walks, being leashed. Decided to order this rent a flip and I am beyond happy. It was super easy to set up, the space is wonderful for my boy to run around in, and STURDY. The first time my pup saw another dog outside the fence, he battering rammed one of the nets, but it stayed standing and took zero damage.
TLDR; easy to install and take down (less than 20 minutes), sturdy, and spacious. Perfect choice for those who travel, or those who don’t have fenced in backyards.
Edit: I purchased this fence in February 2024, it is now October of the same year. This fence has withstood a hurricane and MANY storms. I only take it down once a week for the landscapers to mow and it stands strong. I really cannot recommend this fence enough to anyone who needs a “pop up” fence. I wish I had purchased it years ago.

Pretty quick and easy and set up and move around, especially if you have a helper. Chickies are loving the space to roam. Wish there was more sizes, but suppose could just buy another. I hope it lasts

Exactly what I needed. This is the second d fence I have ordered.

We liked it so much we bought 3 more. Easy to set up, easy to move. I can set it up and tear it down on my own, (5’1” female) but it’s definitely easier with a helper. Only complaint is I wish there were more of the U shaped stakes to hold the netting down. It only came with 4 of those and the 7 shaped ones are kinda sucky. The fence looks and works great!

Easy to install and it works great. The fence is not very sturdy. It wont keep predators out but it is good enough to keep the chickens contained. My chickens love the extra grassing area and it's easy to move around and rotate between different pastures.

Do not recommend this fence! Very very easy to put holes in! Very unsatisfactorily !

Effective and convenient for keeping your chickens contained. Super easy to put up and I feel like it's pretty durable. We've had it up for 3 weeks and nobody has escaped.

Great concept but need some improvement.The steaks that poke into the ground seem to bend easy. I wish I could give it a five star because I love the fence I love having the ease of moving it around it does tangle easy though. And my chickens can fly over it so it kind of defeats the purpose I had to clip their wings... And I'm constantly having to try to bend back the things that stab into the groundI would love to give this a five star but the durability is not quite there and some aspects... But if I use this I want it to last for years and so far I've had it one year... I've moved to fencer on multiple times so that they can't kill all the grass... But over a few times I have to fight with the pegs that are bent and try to move them back so they stab into the ground and it's hard with my hands I have to try to use my feet and my feet can't do a very good job

I was skeptical of this product only because of the higher cost...BUT...so glad we went with this fencing! For the reviews that say it is flimsy...NO...it is sturdy...fence material is strong and stakes are of high quality and very easy to setup. Even came with and extra stake which we inserted at the one end to construct a smaller 3 foot section for a gate we can walk through. We can enjoy all our girls without having to clean up chicken manure all over the deck and pavilion on a daily basis...I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Rabbits chewed right through them. Once there are holes, it is no longer useful. I bought three and now they’re just laying out in the corner because rabbits have created holes all over the bottom. The concept is great but I wish it would withstand rabbits damage. However if you don’t have rabbits around in your yard I’d say this would work out perfectly.

If your chickens can fly or are not clipped, they will figure out how to fly over in about 4-6 weeks. You need 6 feet fence height to prevent this, or clip their wings. Might be good for ducks or little dogs, but not for chickens. Rent a coop should build taller if marketing for chickens because it’s a good concept and a decent quality fence overall. Bare minimum disclose you need to clip your chickens wings for this to be effective. I would pay more for a taller fence.

I bought this to help keep my hens from going in the road. This product is exactly what I wanted. It is easy to put up. Simple to move if needed and keeps my chickens in the back yard. A little expensive but worth it to me because my girls are not getting into the road. Would recommend to anyone.

Dogs can escape but you have to pin down every foot .

We love this for giving our chickens some free range time but keeping them out of the garden and landscaping. The stakes aren’t super heavy duty, so it’s sometimes a challenge to get them into the ground if it hasn’t rained for a while. I wasn’t sure if 100’ would be too long, but it makes a comfortable area for our 17 hens.

Used for chicken run. Works as needed
