2 day old chicks mastered the use of this drinker in minutes. Easy to set up and clean

I had to show them initially how it worked but they absolutely love this thing. I definitely think it encourages them to drink more, they love to just peck at it.

My set up does not allow the hold down attachment to be used. I have the waterer sitting on 3 pieces of 2x4's to elevate it enough so the chicks can get under it will out having to top their heads back. When the get bigger I may have to find a different way to keep this from tipping. It is smaller than I expected also. But this is not concern with the baby chicks. I usually dump the previous days water out and there is quite a bit of it left in the container.

With the typical waterer the chicks were kicking the pine shavings into the trough. The breeder I bought from suggested a nipple system. Thought it would be hard to “teach” them how to use. Not so! Their curiosity and the shiny tip got the best of them. How easy! Love this. Only complaint is the hooks that attach to the side if the brooder are quite weak. You can not put my pressure on them as they bend.

The red but looked like it would be easier but they couldn't quite get it so I used the yellow bit and they use it pretty regularly now.
I struggle with the lid for some reason but when it is on right it's pretty solid.
Not sure what the metal spring type part is for so I have no comment about that
Overall I really enjoy that it just keeps the water clean, they can't kick anything into it and there's not much water waste other then a few drips when they use it. They have another waterer so more of them can drink at a time but I cleaned it out before I started writing the review and they already made a mess
I just wish this product had more then one place for them to get water then I could remove the other waterer without so much worry

Bracket system needs to be more robust or at least an alternate mounting method that does not involve cheap plastic that can break easily. For the price of the item toys think that would be included… I guess not.

You do have to prop it up but letting your chicks reach up puts them in the proper position to drink down their water. My chicks took to it instantly. All I had to do was tap on it and they ran over to check it out. One note, don't try to tighten it by twisting the neck in, use a little wrench to tighten it at the base of the neck and you shouldn't have any leaks.

Not worth the money, but I wanted something quick and easy. Unfortunately, it did not come with the mounting strap, so I ended up having to make a height adjustable base for it anyway.

My chickens would not give this a good review! It was easy to use and it didn’t leak, but my chicks never figured it out.

Perfect size for my little flock of 4! It took the chicks a bit to figure it out but now they use it on a regular basis. I still keep the other water jug for backup so they stay hydrated!

I was hoping this would work well. But just using the red cup attachment didn’t work because the attachment was too wide to twist it in between the cage and water box. The black connector doesn’t work either the red cup because it doesn’t sit at the right angle for holding water. I wish the yellow piece was red because that’s what my chickens are used to pecking at for water. Using the yellow bit, but haven’t seen my chickens are use it yet…

Arrived slightly damaged but not a huge deal. Works very well for my quail. I used to use water cups, but they'd get them so dirty flinging dirt around when they dig. I then got a horizontal nipple style waterer but my quail were not able to get any water out of them. For this one (I use the vertical nipple) they are easily able to get water out, so I'm happy with the product thus far. The only negative I have is that they should have made the container black. If you keep this clear container in the sunlight, a green algae will start growing inside. I'm going to paint it black so no light can get in.

I love this waterer! No mess!! Lasted a couple days with 6 chicks. No leaks. Love the two nipple options to switch out as the chicks grow.

We used this when my chicks were brooding, and now i use it in the chicken emergency kit. It’s a great little waterer, and the big nipple is perfect for tiny chicks. the only difficulty was finding things to put it up on to elevate the waterer.

The container is great and the chicks learned to use it very quickly. The only downfall is that the lid doesn’t stay on well at all.

Had to cut off part of the nipple, very small hole coming out, but it doesnt include a spigot that you can attach a hose to. A lot of people that feed quail would want this as an option with a bigger wider opening. Its very small and so hard to find tubes for it. If you are only using it for one cup then it's ok, but I have 3 cups in each cage attached to a pvc rig. Ultimately I had to get a bigger container and stop using this, the container claims to be 2 liter but it's shy of that. When you receive that it seems very small.

Very easy to assemble and attach to the side of the chicken cage. Also very easy to fill back up and holds a lot of water.

Great with less space and cleaner than and less spillage than the round waterers for chicks in brooder!!!! Liked all the parts that come with it. For thus single waterer kit, the lid does not stay on very well and always pops off when picking it up to refill. My chicks have also climbed up on top and knocked the lid off or into the water. A combo kit option from the renza-coop store is available w the same size feeder and waterer that includes a sturdier pointed lid instead of the flip easy fill lid and fits much better. I swapped the lids and am using the flip lid from this product for the little feeder instead. The easy flip door on the top of the lid that came in this kit is a good idea (and prob fine if waterer is attached to cage or wall) but doesnt matter when the lid doesnt stay on when picking it up and you have to refill with the lid off anyway. This is due to the plastic giving somewhat when held.

This was the first rent a coop product i tried besides their net fence and i do love the smaller attachment for the waterer the chicks can use by tapping the button/knob. I started them off with the cup and then switched to the knob because its cleaner imo. I love that all the parts come with it and you can change out the attachment based on what animal or age of animal. Comes w the cupn the nipple, and knob along w the spring to attach to a cage. Super cool!

If you choose the cup i recommend getting the cup covers from the company store as well. Keeps the cups a lot cleaner! But the cups do not work unless you have the container raised up or hanging or attached to cage/wall since the cups sit lower than the container. And if the container is sitting on the cups, they tilt slightly, pouring the water out. The mini cups w knob thst animal has to press for water to floe is easy for chicks and chickens to learn quickly and has less water loss. Chicks will still manage to get dirt in the mini cup but there is a lip where the knob is that allows the ester to hit the lip first so they can get cleaner water. Thus, I transition to that once they've gotten used to the new waterer. It can sit on the ground unlike the bigger cup.

Love that all the cup/knob/nipple attachments are interchangeable with any size waterer from this brand. I love that they all are included so you xan try out and use whichever is best for your animals or seap out as they grow and I have now switched to these waterers for all of my chickens of all stages.
