Customers praised this electric poultry fencing as "easy to set up" and effective at keeping predators out. Many noted it works well for chickens, ducks, geese, and even goats. However, several reported stakes bend easily on hard terrain, fence sagging between posts, and material degradation after 18 months in sun. Some chickens fly over or squeeze through holes. Extra support posts recommended.
This fence is perfect, it’s my second one! My first one lasted 5 years and it was time for a replacement, I had to buy the same brand due to the quality. I do find that the spans between the posts are a bit long for the netting and each section could be half the length. I saved the posts from my first fence and wove them in between each section, now it’s the perfect fence. I suggest that the company offer an option to order extra posts for those of us that don’t like to fuss with the fence all season long.
After having predator's get in my coop, I needed extra security and peace of mind. This has been easy to use and works well. I bought my first one second hand and then liked it so much that I ordered this one and put them together (same brand).
The only advice is to get extra poles as they sag a bit due to distance. Safe ducks (and geese) makes me happy.

The fence was super easy to unfold and put up. From unboxing to finishing setup by myself it took me about 30 minutes total. Super simple. It is not as sturdy as a traditional tpost and wire fence, but once you have the sections pulled tight it's good to go. If you angle the step in post it keeps the fence from sagging. Overall an awesome buy for any farm. We plan on eventually trying one out for the pigs as well.
Let me first start by saying that the quality of the ground stakes, the poles, the netting and the wiring within the netting is very good quality. My complaint with this product (and the reason I returned it) isn't due to "lack of quality"! I returned it because it's a design that's not quite there.The poles are 12 ft apart and probably should be more like 6 ft apart in order to have the netting stand upright properly. We stretched the net as far as possible between poles and still had between three and five horizontal netting wires laying on the ground and the top of the net was drooping significantly. The reason this is a problem is because electricity from and attached fence Energizer will leech into the ground if netting wires are touching the ground, grass, weeds, etc.I pulled the net upright in order to see how it SHOULD be positioned according to Rent-a-Coop's own instructions and although the netting is 48" from top to bottom the poles do not match the height of the netting so there is no possible way the poles can make the netting stand upright!! (Bad design deployment!!)Rent-a-Coop offers several other types of products for chicken husbandry. A few of those products I can highly recommend...however this particular electric poultry netting product is NOT one of them!
This provided the easiest setup, much better than conventional fencing because it’s easy to move around when needed. We have adjusted our area several times since setup to see what works for us and it couldn’t be easier!

Have been using all summer. So far works great. Chickens stay inside and do not go near the fence. The dogs tested it and regretted it immediately! Have not had any issues with raccoons all summer. Love it !
Pretty sure I’m not the only person that purchased this fencing without powering it. The goal wasn’t to keep things out as much as to keep the girls in and away from the garden. If this sounds like you please be advised that they will find a way through it. I’ve had mine for about 3 weeks and they have already shredded it in a couple of places near the bottom. I keep their wings clipped so they can’t go over but never thought they would figure out how to go through it. Also they need to make additional poles available for purchase or send more with the order. They are spaced every 12 feet which is to far apart to keep the fence from sagging.
The directions that are provided are scant. Definitely set a few hours aside to do the setup.

Bought this to keep rabbits, raccoons and deer out of my garden. Coons devastated my entire sweet corn crop last year with deer helping. Works very well for this purpose. All good with this fencing except for irregular shapes like my garden is, I needed to buy 16 more poles to keep it taut enough to not electrify anything its not supposed to. After last night's straight line wind storm, I had to order another 16 poles. Don't need that many but I'll have them when needed. This fence is the good stuff!
We have been using this as a portable fence to move grazing areas for our girls.We do not use it as an electric fence, so I cannot say anything about that.The fence is fairly easy to move, a bit heavy for one person, but doable. It makes a very nice large area for them. A few of my lighter and more clever girls will fly over it or smoosh through the openings to roam around, but for the most part they stay in it.The bottom of the fence has smaller openings, it would be good if those smaller openings went up a bit higher. I can’t stop them from flying, but would be awesome if they couldn’t fit through the openings!

If it sags at all, younger birds can get through. I have month old birds shooting through the medium holes like it’s nothing. I can’t get the fence to not sag because the stakes are bent in every direction. Didn’t get to see how useful the electrification is, but this netting is NOT SUITABLE for varied terrain and hard-pan soil/gravel. Might be fine for a flat lawn.

I have had this fence for 3years around a chicken coop/run. It has worked very well to keep varmints out and chickens in until about 1 year ago. The plastic mesh has dry rotted and has begun to break in almost every panel. Now I have possums walking right through it at night eating all my chicken feed. I will probably not purchase this brand again.
This functioned well for us. Does exactly what it is supposed to do.However, it did not last. I suspect it's our hot summers, but the wire got brittle after a year or so and chickens began breaking out.
Over all a decent product . I've had another brand of electric net before so familiar with how they performThis one did sag a little more that the other brand due to more space between posts. So I'll be adding some more posts in between the included posts. It does include tie downs and a few extra step ins to help it maintain its structure, but I find it easier to just add a few more posts from the local TS.When shopping for this i compared the space between posts and this one one was one of the fences with the least space between posts.Ill report back when I've had it up for a while let you know how it holds up
Works excellent for keeping chickens in a run area or out of the garden. I especially like this one since it has five rows of the smaller holes so younger chickens cannot get through it. I purchased another one that was an all white fence that only had three rows of the smaller holes in my four week. Old chickens could just walk through the bigger holes that were closer to the ground.
This one they will not be able to squeeze through I also like it how they gave you extra little foot spikes with the fiberglass pole on any spot that you wanted to further cinch to the ground. Both of my fences are electric fences, but I have not tested those out so I don’t know about the electric side of the fences, but they do a good job at what I needed it for and that was saving my garden to let my chickens range. The only somewhat of an issue that I have with it is that in order to sometimes get defense part tight you have to push the polls in at an angle to stretch them. So in my garden around two of the corners, the fence kind of sag down a little bit by a foot so I’m not too concerned about that I think with this particular fence, they probably got some of the positioning wrong or out of line because I had to position this fence more diagonally with the poles that my other fence, but it still works good for what I need to

Key parts were missing from the box, instructions, stakes and tie lines, and the repair kit. Got part of the fence set up, let out the chickens and couldn't find the rest of the items. Very disappointing and inconvenient. Had to order another just for the missing parts. I haven't connected any power to it yet.
When we moved, we didn't have time to build a run for our girls, so we bought this as a temporary solution. That temporary solution has become their permanent area. The charge is enough to keep out critters (tested on our dogs and cat) and it opens up a whole new world for them to explore. We can easily move it to newer grassy areas. We did buy the solar charger and gate features once we decided to make it permanent and all have worked wonderfully!
Ground needs to be completely flat where you are putting us. It cannot touch the ground or it will ground out.
As always the rent a coop products have done well for me. It was easy to setup and seems like it will last a long time. Priced just right as well.
