RentACoop Secure Non-Adhesive PVC (S.N.A.P) Watering System Elbow Pack of 2

I used these RentACoop elbow fittings on a new quail cage stacked built system I recently completed. There are many things to like about these fittings. Pro's: very solidly built, adjustment was easy to fine tune in my stacked quail cage system vs the PVC glue fittings I did on the other cage, and the time savings was awesome. No leaks on any of the fittings thus far. Con's: price of these per fitting is expensive and the packaging material seemed excessive. You get what you pay for, so although I purchased other items from RentACoop including the waterers, float valve kit, and other items, I am impressed with the quality and detail that went into each item sold by RentACoop. There are many knock offs of lesser quality, so again, you get what you pay for. The only other issue encountered was the O-rings. Some of them were clamped down and deformed, but after pulling out and molding back into place, they fit fine over the 1/2" PVC pipe and regained their shape. Of the 14 or so fittings, only 3 of these had these issues, so just be sure and inspect before you tighten down each pipe.

These 90-degree elbows are designed to help you easily change the direction of your pipe without the need for adhesives. You just push the your pipe into the elbows for a snug fit. These elbows feel sturdy and will helpful last weather changes. I don’t know if these will be good for a high-pressure system, but a simple one, these are adequate.

If you have the Rentacoop DIY Waterer system, extra ones of these elbows and extenders are a must! I am able to have it run the entirety of my rectangular enclosure that houses multiple coops and smaller enclosures.

I like compression fittings like this because they are not only easier to set up, but no problem to take back apart if needed. These work well and do not leak.

I feed my chickens as naturally as possible so avoiding contaminates is a big deal to me. I like that these elbows hold together without glue and therefore can be reused many times. The packaging is overkill for buying from Amazon. I think they have it packaged for in-store sells.

I ordered this 2-pack of 90-degree elbows to test out with a quail watering system. The elbows are made with a high level of quality; they simply fit onto 1/2-inch PVC pipe without the need for glue. I wish the black elbows would match my white PVC pipe, but that is a simple issue of preference.

The quality is great, and everything works well, but I don’t see the advantage over 1/2-inch PVC elbows. The PVC is a lot less expensive and can also be snapped together without glue since the system is not pressurized. Rent-A-Coop is doing a lot of good work innovating products for the DIY bird-raising community, so I appreciate their products. However, some things like PVC are going to be hard to beat in price and simplicity. All of their products work well; that’s not the problem. The primary issue is with the price point.

I have the Rent A Coop Snap system and it is so simple to install and take apart if need be. These connectors make the configuration easy with the 90 degree turn. No glue. Love it.
