TL;DR; Very high Quality single port feeder;

We raise poultry on a homestead scale farm operation.

The small details make this an excellent feeder.

Unit is 6” wide (6 ¼”) with hardware. By 3 ½” deep. And 8 ¼” tall. Easy to assemble. It has magnets for the lid so nothing is knocking it off. All the corners are nicely bent and professional.

The slide for food access is tough to close - with feed dust and grime I imagine it to be useless.
The hanger is good for small hardware cloth only - limited with its use out of the box, although easily adapted.

I’m not sure a 3 day old chick could use this. They would have to get right in there to get food. Awesome unit, but unless you only have a few chickens you either need a bunch or a much bigger one.

I am loving RentACoop more and more. This medium port chicken feeder is the 3rd product I am purchased from them. This is by far the best quality of a port feeder I’ve ever owned. I love that the lid is magnetic! I cannot tell you how many times I’ve struggled with the plastic lids and plastic containers. I seem to always have something else in my hand and this lid being magnetic makes this a one handed job. This was very easy to assemble. It comes with a manual, but I didn’t need it. I also really like the hooks to hang this box. They are like little swivel latches. Very unique. The latches makes this so easy to hang on hardware mesh. At $34.95 this is exactly as described. I’m a repeat customer, so obviously I highly recommend!

This feeder from the RentACoop store is made of sturdy metal, which is an upgrade compared to my other plastic feeders. It was easy to install, especially since I had some previous experience with other types of feeders. What I like the most is how easily it can attach and detach from the chicken run sides. It is waterproof, but I also placed it in a place where the coop is covered by a tarp, to make sure rain does not reach inside if it falls from the direction of the opening. The size is small for several chickens, so this is not my main feeder. I use it for oyster shells, which my hens eat to supplement their calcium intake. I am very pleased with this feeder, and I highly recommend it!

This is the perfect little compact, mess free feeder. It is really quick to assemble and hangs well on chicken wire or sits upright on a flat surface. The lid is my favorite part, because it is magnetized. You can carry it by the handle, even full of feed, and the lid stays secure. I am personally using it as a feeder for inside my coop for the chicks at night time. It would also be perfect for a chick brooder box as it's compact and easy to refill from the top without removing.

Ive tried many different styles of feeders for my quail over the 5 or so years ive raised them. This is the best. Durable well constructed and has a great capacity. Im gradually replacing those junky plastic trough feeders with these.

Easy to install and well made !

This feeder is great for small chicken coop with half a dozen or less birds. Got this for my replacement pre-teen hens that aren't quite ready to join the big girls yet. My young ladies are 3-4 months old (ready to be outside, yet not old enough to be in our main coop and run, though they share fence between the runs to get to know each other safely. Rent-a-coop makes quality poultry products and is a trustworthy brand.

This little feeder is nice out in the chicken run so the chickens can have food available at all times. The feeder box and lid are galvanized to prevent rust. There is a large plastic feed hole with a shroud that adult chickens can use. They supply two hanging hooks, one on each side to hang in your chicken run fencing.

However, there are a couple of practical limitations with this feeder. The feed port itself is on the smaller side, which has proven a bit challenging for older, larger chicks trying to access the feed. This size restriction might limit the feeder's usefulness as the chicks grow, necessitating a switch to a feeder with larger access points. Additionally, the design doesn't allow for a quick visual check of how much feed is left; I have to remove the cover to monitor the feed level, which is a slight inconvenience.

Despite these drawbacks, the RentACoop feeder has been a valuable addition to our chick care routine, making the feeding process cleaner and more efficient.

The hole is too low, feed doesnt channel underneat it properly. Tilting the feed downspout slightly to the side seems to fix the issue.

I wanted to find a smaller feeder that I could tuck into a less-used section of our chicken run so that the hens who are lowest on the pecking order would have more food access options. This is the perfect size for my purposes. I haven't yet used the anti-vermin panel so I am not sure how it works at night, but if we start to see problems like that, I'm happy to have the option to keep our girls' food supply safe!

The lid is magnetic and fits snugly. It holds about a quart of feed.
The only thing I truly dislike is the feeder port. It has a slide which opens up to a 2 x 1 opening that allows the chicks to get feed. That is way to small and to far back for them to find the feed. Once I changed it out to a standard feeder port with plug, it works like a charm.

it truly is a nice feeder made of heavy duty metal. But the port feeder falls so short that unless you replace it is useless.

This 3-pound feeder is really great for feeding your flock with some thing that is well constructed and heavy duty and durable. It seems like it’s going to last quite a while and it is compact and keeps the feed from being messy. It’s very easy to use and put together And would be great if you have a small flock

Good size for brooders, but the hooks were to short to reach behind it and reach my wiring, also wish they were turnable. Had to sit this on a platform and hope the babies dont tip it over and make the mess i ordered to avoid

Great quality small feeder by rentacoop. We were having mice visit the quail coop. I was having to take the feeders in at night to avoid them. This is a great option. This is heavy duty metal. The lid is magnetic, so a rodent will not be able to pry it open. It hooks onto the hardware cloth, which is necessary because it can be heavy when full. My favorite feature is the slot that opens and closes tightly shut. No more pests!!

Since this feeder is on the small side, I'd recommend this more for chicks or to use as a treat dispenser for adult birds. That being said, every Rent a Coop product I've ever tried, including this, have been exceptionally well made and durable, making them worth the price over cheaper, flimsier feeders. I highly recommend this, but again, keep in mind that it is pretty small.

I use smaller sized feeders for my "teenager" chicks. Has a GREAT magnet aspect to closing the lid and keeping it on. Also has a sliding feature in the hood that closes off the feed from varmits at night. I doubt I will ever use that, but the magnetized lid is totally awesome! I like the hooded cup design over RentACoops white ring hoods that push in. I have had to get these off a chicken's neck more than once when she was reaching in deep to the interior and the ring pulls off around her head. Nice little unit with innovative lid feature I appreciate.
