I normally love rentacoop products but this swing is a major miss for me. The product is incredibly unstable no matter how you set it up and more prone to tumbling over than swinging back and forth. Most of the chicks just seemed to be scared of it to begin with but they wouldn't go near it after it fell over on one of them.I'm one of those crazy chicken people that has all forms of enrichment in my chicken coops and runs and homemade swings in my runs so I thought this was going to be a fun introduction for the newbs before they graduated to an outside run with a swing. I was wrong. I do like that everything this is made out of is able to be disinfected. I try to avoid wood toys in my brooders because of the issues cleaning and disinfecting them between broods. So I truly do appreciate the materials this item is made of but the design needs some major overalling.I am thinking about taking some extra chain from hanging my feeders and waterers and using it to hang just the swing from an overhead 2x4 (my brooders are permanent coops outside so they have normal rafters at ceiling height. But that seems like a lot of work for such a tiny swing when I can just use the same chain and put it on a long piece of 2x4 and fiit a lot more chickies on the swing considering I'll have 50-150 chicks brooding at any given time.

Let start off by saying, I love rent a coop products, but unfortunately, this one has not worked out. Easy to put together, but so lightweight that it cannot stand alone without the chicks knocking it over. It holds decently when connected to the proper heat plate but that was not how I wanted to use this. So for me this product was a bust.

Cute swing and easy to assembler but very flimsy and too lightweight. Falls over whenever any of the chicks try to get on the swing or whenever the chicks are running and playing near the swing. This needs much heavier and sturdier legs and supports. Not very functional.

sadly it's wobbly; the legs don't secure into the top. It is SO SMALL that only little chicks can use it and even then, when they hit about 3-4 weeks, they just knock it over. It does clean up nicely with some warm water and soap. The legs adjust fairly easily but there's nothing locking them in place so you have to sink the feet into some bedding or it's not sturdy. It's really cute in theory, but sadly my daughter spent more time playing with it with her dolls than the chicks did.

It's very unstable and the slats on the base are too wide (chicks feet get stuck).
It is nice thick plastic and easy to clean, hence the 3 stars but needs improvement.
I will end up making my own base for it and I covered the base in non slip fine sandpaper strips.

Chicks just look at it and ignore it. So that’s a no. They are usually for anything I give them except for this. Not a fan.

Very dangerous toy for chicks I give this ZERO stars One of my chicks got her toe hung in an open slat area at the top and was hanging down and couldn’t get up I am so thankful I was with them when she got stuck and hanging up side down The chicks were 2 1/2 weeks old when this happened I don’t recommend this swing at all It needs to be taken off the market until the dangerous areas on top of the swing are fixedI had to give this one star to post but I wouldn’t give any if I could choose that option

My chicks are four weeks old so they are the perfect size for the swing. When I saw it, I got excited because I wanted to get it for them to keep them occupied and give them some fun things to do in there inside brooder. Unfortunately, they didn’t take to it. I’ve had it in there a week now and they seem to be afraid of it. Still giving the four stars because it’s well-made and it will work for some chickens, but just not mine.

Chicken Swing - $23.95This is sized for baby and young chicks only. Big ones would knock it over. It's so cute! Our chicks are all grown this year, but for next year it's going to be awesome. We fully assembled it, and it was easy. Good directions. Might need to weight it or stake it down; I'm not sure until I have new babies. But either way it will work well. It swings well. I'm really liking it. I guess it works with a heater or a heat lamp, but we'll have it nearby so they can go in and out of the heat source. (Don't use lamps; use sweeter heaters or something similar.)

I wish my chicks would use this like it was ment to be used. they much rather perch on the top and knock it over. It was worth a try.

This small swing requires assembly. The good news is that you can completely disassemble it for proper cleaning.Once it’s assembled , you realize quite quickly that it’s not extremely sturdy. You can’t adjust the height at all. It has to stay at the one level because the swing is not very far off the ground and the arms are also not very tall. Seems like a little bit of a wonky design, honestly. I do like the concept but it just really should be more substantial and taller. EVEN for small chicks.The manufacturer claims that it can be for chicks up to eight weeks old and multiple chicks can be on it. Again, this is really going to depend on the size/breed of the chick because of the stability or lack of.I just can’t say that I’m as pleased as I had hoped. At the end of the day, the swing is just not well designed.

I got it for almost 1 week old Serama chicks and they haven't really used it yet its only been in the cage for about 3 hours they do run across the swint when they are chasing each other for a share of the worms lol. I got it for the purpose of the swing not even realizing it could also be a stand for food and waterers which is so cool. I also love that it can be combined to the head plate for space saving. 4 stars is because the one i got, getting the legs on was extremely hard almost seemed like they weren't gonna fit i had to use a lot of force to get them in unlike the brooder plate i bought from Rent-a-coop. Overall everything I bought from them seems to be really good quality and super cute and reasonably priced I hope to see new things by them.

When I got this it looked chintzy. Not very sturdy. Ended up using it as a base to put a piece of wood with elastics to keep it on for a roosting bar.

If the chicks would have used, it would work. Small swing, chicks grow fast so if mine would have used it, it wouldn’t fit them after 2-3 weeks
