Morgan Woods: 5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for the fall hatchlings or small coops
It’s perfect if you have a small amount of chickens or if you have a small batch of pullets to start in the fall. I do this to give them kind of a grace period to focus on growth not egg production. The chicks have a guard bunny who has taken to the bottle nicely too. Gives me peace of mind that my animals have water when they need it and not when I’m available to break it
Our Eclectic Life: 5.0 out of 5 stars Keeps water from freezing
I have had all sorts of trouble with heated water containers over the years. Too many of them have not been good quality and haven't lasted beyond a single season. So far, I'm happy with this one. We've had another heated chicken waterer and an unheated water bottle from Rent-a-Coop in the past and so far they've held up well. We haven't had temperatures below the mid 20's so far this year so while the bottles haven't frozen yet, they haven't been put to very much of a challenge, either.PROS* Insulated sleeve should help keep water from freezing* Only 2 openings - at bottle for water spout and at top to refill, no other seams in the container where water could leak out* Heater is separated from water compartment so I don't need to worry about electrical fault.* Easy to hangCONS* Personally, I would not want to hang this on the outside of a cage. I feel that it would hold up much better if it can be protected from the elements. The manufacturer does say it's suitable for being outside the enclosure, but I've had too many heated waterers of other brands fail to trust this one outside.
Sheesha Sheesha : 5.0 out of 5 stars A no splash solution to watering kids overnight.
I use this waterer in a pen where my goat kids sleep overnight separated from their moms so I can milk them in the morning. The kids are still nursing, but starting to eat and drink also. Typically they make a mess of everything, especially water buckets, so I was thrilled to see this option. It was fairly easy to mount, even though I had to fasten a small piece of wood to a stud in order to accommodate the hanging bar. The outlet is right above the unit so it's easy to keep the cord away from nibbling teeth. Most importantly, the kids use it. I recommend this product.

Katie J.: 5.0 out of 5 stars So far, so good!
We have two rabbit cages outside, and put thsi drinker on only one. I didn't plug it in and it still kept the water from freezing on a mild night (25 degrees). The waterer on the other cage froze solid (same volume). Very pleased and our Bella Bunny figured out how to use it right away!
Roger E. Dickerson: 5.0 out of 5 stars Works great
I bought this for my Georgia Giant Bobwhite Quail. I installed it next to their regular waterer before the freezing whether set in. They started drinking from it so now it's the only waterer in their cage. Easy access for filling it up. Nothing but high praise for this product.
RV'ing with Birds RV'ing with Birds : 5.0 out of 5 stars Interchangeable with other water cups/nubs
In case you’re wondering - yes! This is totally compatible with other standard water cups or “buttons” e.g., for quail or chicks. The water heater element is really easy to use all integrated right out of the box, but I also just love how easy it is to refill a relatively large container (well… depends on how many animals were talking…. But it’s bigger than most rodent or quail drinkers) without having to remove it or reach inside the cage. Just pop the lid and pour water in. Comes with multiple options to mount it to the cage/enclosure.Overall really well thought out product!

Sassy: 5.0 out of 5 stars Great for chicks chickens bunnies small animals!
Rent a Coop brand has a lot of nice products, especially for chickens. I have this waterer hanging inside the chicken run on hardware cloth fence but it comes with multiple hanging brackets. The container is plastic with a neoprene wrap to hold the heat and wind off it. The nozzle is all brass. I do agree on the plug that if you have an animal that chews cords you would have to come up with a wrap solution because this is a plain wire cord . My chickens won’t chew it so no worries there. So far I love it because open water heated dishes and bowls cause my chickens to get frost bite on beards and wattles. This does not.
Kellie76 Kellie76 : 5.0 out of 5 stars Insulated and nicely put together
I have 3 bunnies and this is a perfect way to keep the water drinkable all winter. Really easy to set up. I really like that it allows for the cord to be on the outside of the cage so the bunnies don’t chew on it.

MyAngelBride: 5.0 out of 5 stars Keep in mind when purchasing!
Love the product!!! It's all I have been looking for my outside rabbits during our harsh Wisconsin winters. It does keep the water from freezing. The rabbits used it immediately, too!!! The only problem is that the cable got chewed already after 3 days of use. To remedy this problem, I just ordered their other model with the chew proof cable. I am going to use all of the items that came with this one and didn't came with the chew proof cable one, such as the black insulation sleeve. Pretty much going to merge them. I wish I could replace the cable, too so I can have this one as a spare. Love their other products, too. Like the optional base, which can be use for a lot of their other products as well. Love the modular base idea!!! Anyways, great product, but avoid for rabbits unless you have the ability to raise the cable above their reach, which in our case we can't! So buy the chew proof cable one instead of this one. Please make a feeder for rabbits (same as the chicken feeder) but with a big enough opening for the rabbits to safely eat from. Also, that can be place on the modular optional base! Keep up the hard work!!! Next spring we are going to raise chickens in their own coop! Guess where I am buying the things we need??? Hehehe!
Brian Brian : 5.0 out of 5 stars Extra large heated bottle
I use heated bottles for my rabbitry in the winter, and usually use smaller 1qt bottles. My doe cages need multiple of those, but this allows me to have a single large bottle instead. The opening is plenty large enough to get a brush inside and clean it too which is a huge bonus. The brass nipple treads into the predrilled hole in the front of the bottle. I used the hangar bracket as shown to keep the bottle on the outside of the cage. I'm concerned the rabbits may chew the neoprene sleeve off however.
