This gravity feeder is excellent and very heavy duty. The magnetic lid is super strong! This will not work with my particular cage bars as mine are real thick vertical metal bars but I am going to use zip ties to attach it. I am using this for my puppy whelping pens but it is perfect for puppies too. My Frenchie puppies won’t be able to get their fat faces in it but my Papillon puppies use it just fine. So easily to sterilize in between litters as well.

I wanted to try this product out for my rabbit. The metal feeder is made of a very sturdy galvanized material. Holds quite a bit of food especially for one animal. The lid on the feeder is strongly magnetized and stays on really well. I have a small sized rabbit and he can fit his head in the feeder, but a large sized rabbit may have trouble. The waterer is made of plastic and comes with a cup drinker attachment or a sucking type of attachment. They easily screw on to the front of the waterer. Water tank is smaller than the feeder. Designed for a cage with hardware cloth on it or hard wire. Can be rigged to stay on if that is not the material used. Overall good feeder for small bunnies or guinea pigs. Could be used for small chicks also. Nice overall feeder.

It work for the rabbits food.

Lid is extremely well secured by it being magnetic. We’ve had some big rains here and it’s never gotten wet. It makes the rabbit food last forever since it doesn’t let it spill out when they eat.

The waterer may be set up with an auto fill water cup for poultry or a brass nozzle for small animals. The squared sides allow the drinker to be attached easily to the cage, while the flip top allows for easy refills without the need to remove the drinker from the side of the cage. Both waterer attachments work perfectly and do not leak.

I especially love how large the feeder is and that it can be used freestanding. The lid lifts completely off for quick and easy food refills. The lid does not clip closed. Instead, it has strong magnets that hold the lid tightly in place, which I really prefer over my other small animal feeders. The amount of pellets this holds would keep a single bunny fed for a long time, or can be using in setups with multiple rabbits.

This works so well. It is a very solid set and no joke. It makes feeding your baby so much easier and you can put a lot of food in there. But even though don't forget to check on it since it will still at some point run out.

This trough-style feeder and drinker set has been a great addition to my bunny’s enclosure. The robust construction of both pieces are appreciated, with no sharp edges to worry about, which is always a concern. For my situation the food container portion of the set has proven to be exceptionally useful; it’s well-designed and capable of holding a substantial amount of pellets, greatly reducing the need for refills. I also found the magnetic top on the feeder to be impressively secure, preventing even the most curious bun from removing it and making a mess. Right now my bunny is enjoying the use of an automatic fountain for her water, but the water bottle that comes with this set is an awesome backup to have. Highly recommend!

We actually got this to use for our cat that was going to have kittens. We were trying to think of some way to have food and water in her whelping box where kittens wouldn't get in the food or drown in the water. This was the PURRRFECT solution! She can get to the cat food super easily and the small dry cat food works perfect in the self-feeding trough. I was a bit concerned that it might get bunched up in the narrow part of the feeder since the cat food isn't perfect little pellets, but it hasn't had any issues with getting stuck.
The waterer has a tiny little area that water comes out of so it is safe for kittens where they can't drown themselves even if they tried and it's still easy for the mommy cat to access. I would highly suggest this setup for a mama cat with small kittens. I'm sure that it will work well when her kittens are old enough to eat kitten food too.

I use this metal feeder to set out during the day for my chickens. I not only fill this with some chicken scratch but also apples, cabbage, dried worms etc to give them some treats during the day. Since you can not close this feeder up I have to either empty what my chickens haven't eaten or empty and refill the next day which is a little bit of a hassle (or else other animals/rats/mice will eat their treats). The metal feeder is definitely more durable and stable than plastic. I don't use the water feeder so I can't really give my experience on the quality of it.

This is a great feeder, it's good quality, but doesn't work the best with rabbit pellet food. the food gets caught up and wont fall down. You have to help it on almost a daily basis. We have a large wire dog crate that we have my daughters bunny in and there aren't as many bars on it like a traditional rabbit hutch. This makes mounting it a little tricky as it's a little higher than is convenient for her dwarf rabbit, but there's no bar to hook it to lower. We also don't want to cut out the bars to mount it on the outside so I has to be inside. Which makes filling it a little more difficult. It was not easy to get the little latch onto the bar and took a lot of tweaking to make it happen, I think the bars on the crate are thicker than it's designed for.
The water bottle is great and doesn't leak so far. We used the nipple only and haven't tried the cup option. The auto cup option was a little more involved for install than I wanted to deal with at the time.

The feeder, on the other hand...

First off, it has holes on the bottom. I guess that's to let water out? Though I didn't notice water getting into the feeder. Anyway. As I wanted to feed my quail crumbles, that was a problem. But I put a sheet of aluminum foil in to try using with the crumbles.

But the crumbles didn't refill correctly. The feeder reserve would be full - but there would be little to no food in the area holding the food for the quail to eat. Something was interfering with the gravity pull to refill it. I couldn't figure out what.

If it wasn't for that problem - and the holes - I would have loved it! The magnetic hold on the lid was very strong, and I never saw any water get into it even though I had it outside the cage. It was perfectly situated for hanging outside the cage. Unfortunately, the problems I had made it unusable for me.

Both the feeder (made of strong metal) and the plastic waterer seem to be of good quality and I like the fact that the lid on the feeder is kept in place firmly by magnets. Easy to use and perfect for bunnies and other small animals. Overall, very pleased with this product.

The feeder and waterer are both built very solid.

All the metal edges of the feeder are rolled, so there's no sharp edges. The lid fits snug and the magnets are very strong- you can hold up the whole feeder by the lid! The metal is a nice heavy weight and the clips to hold it in place work very well, just the right length.

The drinker is also very well built, the plastic is solid and the lid is a flip-top, so you don't have to remove it or unscrew anything to refill it. The lid has a little silicone piece stored there that can be used to block the bottom hole so you can take off the drinker part to clean without anything leaking. I can't see myself using it, but it's a neat feature. I like the square shape as it can lie flat against the cage and jostled around much less than round drinker bottles. It does come with the standard spring and clip connection in case the built-in clips don't work with your cage wire.

Overall, a little expensive (currently $49.99 for the 5 pound feeder and drinker combo) but it's built extremely well!

This set is fantastic for my bunny! The food container fits perfectly in her hutch and is not going anywhere. The lid is impossible to remove but that's a good thing. It is held in place with STRONG magnets so I can heft it off, but there is no way the bun is getting it off there. The waterer is pretty unique. It's tricky to get the little bowl attached if the bowl is inside the cage while the canister is outside. The way I attached it was held the cup in side the cage, connected the canister on the outside by holding the bowl still and spinning the canister until it was screwed in completely. THEN attached it with it's brackets and the spring to the outside, while the bowl is inside for the bun. This review will make tons of sense when you purchase this and see what's in the box lol. It's a great buy if you have a rabbit or other small caged animal.

This feeder set is really nice. It is well constructed with metal and plastic. It's simple and works. Unfortunately, the mounting doesn't work on all cages, which is easily solved by using 1-2 zip ties.

I love these feeders and waterers!!! They make it so much easier to provide fresh water and quality pellets to my bunnies. I cannot say enough about the lid on the feeder - that thing is NOT going to be knocked off by a curious bunny or pulled off by a raccoon, etc. They put some SERIOUS magnets in there and I appreciate it! The waterer is easy to refill, doesn't drip, and is easy enough even for my baby buns. I placed a different order and had an issue with shipping - not the fault of RentACoop and they were still super quick to respond and super helpful. As I build, I will definitely be back for more!
