These work great! My hubby installed them in a plastic trash can. We buy feed from store and dump whole bag into trash can. Don’t have to worry about filling feed every day.

Installing these feeders has been a great work saver. Knowing the chickens have access to food and water for several days makes it easier to be away. I love that it came with the cutting drill attachment. My husband was able to install these in food grade buckets in no time. The chickens had no problem learning how to get to their feed and water.

I installed these in a 45 gallon square waste container, put it on a foot high pedestal, half-filled it with pellets... and in minutes they all had it figured out! I didn't feel the sharp edges that others complained about. As long as it doesn't end up leaking (doubtful since it is installed with a rubber gasket and about eight screws), it's what I've been looking for. The kit that I ordered comes with the hole saw so I was up and running in about 15 minutes. Great product.

For my first effort, I cut up a Home Depot bucket, but it's not wide enough. Then I used a plastic tub, about 1' x 2', and I put one on each side. (Place all of the ports inside the vessel in the positions before you start cutting to be sure they'll all fit.) The kit comes with a hole saw. I dropped it on my kitchen table the first time and left a big gouge. The second time, I dropped it on my knee and left a big gouge while trying get the plastic circle out of the hole saw. So be extra careful! The hens were a bit cautious at first, but they figured out how to get their food. They don't fight over the food any more
