I am in love ...this waterer checks all the boxes... easy to fill, no wasted water, less fill cycles and most important keeps the water from getting contaminated.... I wish I needed more of them :)

I was amazed at how easy it was to get the chickens, who were already seven weeks old, to use the “nipples.” They became proficient in about a day. I keeps the water much cleaner than the one we had been using, which the chickens immediately fouled after I filled it and placed it in with them. One thing I did notice, is I filled the old waterer to put up in the coop at night, and was mobbed. The chickens were so thirsty they drank (25 of them) a gallon and a half in about fifteen minutes. So now I water them with the old waterer just before it’s time for them to go up into the coop for the night. Otherwise, they just use the nipple one in the day and do fine. I have to say, though, the daytime temperature has been in the nineties in the day, so...
