My girls took to their new waterer faster than expected. I tapped it a few times to get the water to come out and they came running! Once they started pecking at it and discovered water coming out, they were good to go.
Easily the best water device for chickens. Filling it up is pretty much the only effort. Chickens had no issue taking to it. It became a game of who would gain control drinking out of each spout. So thankful to no longer have to clean out wood chips, sticks and dirt from the numerous other containers I’ve used. Worth every cent.
These waterers just stay so clean and are very durable. Mine hang and they don't freeze nearly as easily as my others do. No drips. Just love them!
I already had a waterer with the little red cups. But the cups got dirt in them every day. So I like how this one stays clean.
My chicks, now pullet size, very quickly learned to use this new waterer.
I love how easy it is to fill from the top. (Much easier on my back.) And also appreciate the cone top.
Love it wish I had bought this a long time ago. Cleaner water and more efficient
We are relatively new to having backyard chickens. We bought the waterer from rent-a-coop because it came highly recommended. It has worked great! The water stays clean due to being completely covered. Even the lid stays clean due to the triangular top that the chickens can't sit on. It has an easy access hose opening in the lid too so you don't have to take the whole thing off every time. We have a flock of eight hens right now and only have to fill it about once a week (that might go up as the weather warms up). I would highly recommend it.
